How does Realcaller compare with other caller ID apps?
The table below sets Realcaller next to seven other options, using only what each company’s own pages say, with a link on every claim. We read their pages. We did not test their apps.

What do their own pages say?
One row per product. Where we did not check something, the cell says so instead of guessing.
| Product | Contacts or address book (their policy) | Ads and data sharing (their policy) | Spanish and Mexico | Price (their page) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Realcaller | Read on the phone only if you allow it. Never uploaded. Privacy promises | No advertising, analytics or crash-reporting code in the app. | App and site in Spanish for Mexico. Mexico has no data yet: user reports only, and none as of October 7, 2026. Our data | No price set yet. Not on Google Play yet. |
| Truecaller | The policy lists “access to device address book” among the information it collects, along with call and message logs and metadata. Policy | The policy mentions “location and interest based advertising”. Policy | Spanish pages for Latin America exist. A Mexico page (/es-mx) did not exist when we checked. Spanish site | Premium USD 74.99 a year, Family USD 99.99, Gold USD 249.00 (US storefront). Premium page |
| Hiya | The app policy lists “Numbers stored in your contacts” among the data it processes. | Robokiller | Its parent company’s policy lists “phone contacts” among the data collected. Policy | The same policy mentions targeted advertising. Policy | No Spanish pages found. Site | Not shown on the pages we checked. |
| Nomorobo | Two statements. The FAQ says “We never upload your address book to our servers”. The policy says it collects your contacts list so the app always allows calls from people you know. We did not test how the app behaves. FAQ Policy | The FAQ says the company is “completely ad-free”. FAQ | No Spanish pages found. Site | Basic USD 2.99 a month or USD 19.99 a year, Max USD 59.99 a year, Family USD 79.99 a year. 7-day trial. Pricing |

| Google Phone app (caller ID and spam) | The help page says “Google doesn’t get phone numbers from your Contact list.” The caller’s number is sent to Google to find a business name or check for spam. Help page | The help page does not cover this. | The help page lists no country limit for caller ID. We did not test it on a Mexican SIM. For Call Screen, see below. Help page | On by default in the Phone app. The help page lists no price. Help page |

What do the others have that this app does not?
Quite a lot, and it matters if you need it.
- Text messages
- Truecaller, Robokiller and Nomorobo describe spam text protection. This app only handles calls.
- iPhone
- Truecaller and Hiya list iPhone apps. Realcaller is Android only for now.
- Availability
- These apps are published today. Realcaller is not on Google Play yet and has no public beta.
- Large user bases
- Truecaller says 500 million people trust it, and Hiya cites 10 million downloads. These are their own claims, which we have not checked. This app has no users to count yet.
- Already on your phone
- Google’s and Samsung’s tools come with the phone, with nothing to install.
Does Google’s Call Screen work in Mexico?
Google’s own list does not include Mexico. This is about Call Screen only, not about caller ID or spam labels in the Phone app.
- Automatic screening on Pixel phones
- Australia, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- Manual screening as well
- France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan and Spain.
